Going backwards....Trips from October 2014 - Part 2 Sao Paulo

October 2014 - Weekend trip to Sao Paulo

This city is about a 1 1/2 hour flight from Porto Alegre. It is the largest city in both the Americas with over 11 million people! There is so much to see and explore there, but since I was only there for a weekend, I stuck to two neighborhoods! I will have to go back again! I went on a free walking tour of centro and learned about the history of the city and the architecture. Beautiful art as well...

One of a few buildings built by the famous architect Ocsar Niemeyer

Our awesome tour guide!

Having a little fun with the art of Edgar Degas!

These tiles were drawn by students! Such a great idea!

Went to a huge samba club that used to be an old theater

Just a typical night..a masked man is selling beers and grilling meat out of his beetle right next to a bar! :) Love it!
